Polar bears arrive in Churchill, Manitoba at the beginning of July once the sea ice thaws and they stay in and around the Hudson Bay until (usually) the end of November.
Churchill is known as the polar bear capital of the world and with good reason but this tour isn't just about the bears!!
In summer, 60,000 beluga whales come to the Bay to have their young and to exfoliate in the Churchill River. These wonderful creatures will simply delight you with their playfulness and incessant chatter.
We will visit the Fort in Churchill, the Inuit Museum, you can have your passport stamped in this remote northern town and look out for the incredible birdlife here.
Our tour includes time out in the Hudson Bay to spot polar bears and beluga whales - up "north" and personal!!
If we are incredibly lucky, we may even be able to glimpse the northern lights which appear here more often than not.
Winnipeg - you'll have some free time to visit the museum of Human Rights and we will have a guided tour around the city's fascinating State House.
This will undoubtedly be another great trip with Experium Travel!!
